Getting Around Chicago

-

CTA Train

The CTA “L” train is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to get around the city costing just a few dollars per person, per ride. It's reliable, safe, fairly clean and great for people watching! We use it all the time. Depending on how long you plan to stay in Chicago, we recommend purchasing a multi-day pass. The easiest way to find your nearest train stop or calculate your route is by using Google Maps.

REGULAR TAXI

Taxis are available on nearly every corner at any moment. Depending on traffic, you can estimate $10-$20 per local ride.

UBER TAXI

Uber is a smart phone app that allows you to easily request a taxi to pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go. The map within the app conveniently shows you where the driver is located and their estimated time of arrival. It beats standing on the corner to hail a taxi and the ride is generally around the same cost. If you're new to Uber, click the button below using your smart phone to get $15 off your first ride, which will almost certainly cover your trip to the wedding!

CHICAGO STAPLES
